Kingsford tops Trojans

CRYSTAL FALLS – In non-conference girls volleyball action Tuesday night in the Eddie Chambers Memorial Gymnasium, Kingsford swept Forest Park 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-11).

“We had a lot of fun trying some new lineups tonight for our last game of regular season. We are excited to get started in postseason play on Monday,” said Kingsford head coach Jaclynn Kreider.

The Flivvers will be off until Monday when they begin district play, hosting Houghton at 6 p.m. in the Kingsford Middle School Gymnasium. The winner of the Houghton-Kingsford match will host Escanaba Wednesday, Nov. 6.

FP and head coach Ana Valesano welcome Bark River-Harris to town to wrap up Skyline play and the regular season on Thursday. FP drew a bye in round one of district play, where they’ll await the winner of Carney-Nadeau at North Central. FP travels to the winner on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m.
