WABENO, Wis. — In what was a recently added non-conference game, Forest Park fell 55-31 to Laona-Wabeno Tuesday night.

Forest Park head coach Kim Bjork noted that her team struggled with the Rebels’ pressure defense.

“We had a tough time making a first pass, and when we did, they would close out quickly,” she said. “We haven’t seen a defense like that this year. and it took us by surprise in the first half.

“In the second half foul trouble got the best of us and we finished the game with four players on the floor. We also never developed a rhythm offensively.”

Mercedes Simmons led Forest Park with 13 points.

Kylie Higgins led all scorers with 15 points for the Rebels, while Emma Harris added 12 points.

The Trojans (4-8) travel to Carney-Nadeau on Monday night.

In jayvee action, FP was defeated by L-W. Rayven Jacobson’s 11 points led the Trojans.
