Patrick Milan posts triple-double in Florence blowout
ELCHO, Wis — With four players registering in double figures, the Florence Bobcats defeated the Elcho Hornets 79-43 here Friday night. Patrick Milan recorded a triple-double for the Bobcats with 15 points,12 rebounds and 10 steals.
Kaden Schuls led all scorers 24 points for Florence, while Riley Hixon netted 20 points.
Freshman Evan Johnson added 10 points and dished out eight assists in the Northern Lakes Conference tilt.
Chase Novak led the Hornets with 18 points, while Kolton Schmidt added 14 points of his own in the losing effort.
Head coach Bryan Bomberg noted that his team has responded well the last couple of games since losing to Norway last week. “We are focusing on being more aggressive, as opposed to be complacent since that game,” said Bomberg.
“Tonight was a nice win for us, I really proud of them and feel confident in saying that our best basketball is yet to come,” Bomberg said.
The Bobcats, who improve to 11-3 on the season, return home to host non-conference foe and long time rival Niagara on Tuesday night.
