KHS swimmers honored

KINGSFORD — The Kingsford girls swim team finished first in the U.P. for the Michigan Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association 2019-20 academic all-state honors.

Kingsford head coach Jim Lindstrom noted that he was proud of his girls’ hard work in the classroom to achieve this team award.

The KHS girls swim team roster is as follows: Grace Cole; Emily Curtis; Mackenzie Gilroy; Christina Hanson; Kendall Johnson; Anna Lundholm; Maggie McKinnon; Cassandra McMa- hon; Maggie Menghini; Emily Nelson; Gabby Owens; Anna Paterson; Mackenzie Rundell; Samantha Scott and Syd- ney Scott.

The swim team with top GPA in the state this year was University Liggett Girls team in Division 3 and Muskegon Mona Shores in Division 1 with a 3.94 GPA.
