BREITUNG TOWNSHIP — Tom Wender’s 4th Annual Yooper Football Camp, which had been scheduled to take place this week at Flivver Field, has been indefinitely postponed.

“The camp doesn’t need to be outright canceled at this point,” said Wender. “We’ll see how things go with the virus restrictions a month from now.”

State-mandated safety precautions due to the coronavirus pandemic and NCAA prohibitions on its coaches or players taking part in off-season camps like this one are the reasons for the postponement, noted Wender.

The camp, which gives instruction to high school age signal callers, wideouts and centers, is instructed mainly by current college coaches and players.
