RAPID RIVER — In three close sets, Forest Park pulled off a sweep as the Lady Trojans defeated the host Rockets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-22) here Thursday night.

“Luckily, we won in three tonight. We played on our heels and struggled to cover the court. It was a rough evening, however, we won in three and had 18 aces,” said Forest Park head coach Bobbie Jo Anderson.

On Tuesday night, it was incorrectly reported that the Trojans had defeated Rapid River at the Eddie Chambers Memorial Gymnasium in Crystal Falls. It was FP defeating SCC foe Superior Central, 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 15-25, 25-23 and 18-16).

The Lady Trojans will travel to cross county non-conference rival West Iron on Tuesday before hosting North Dickinson on Thursday in a SCC matchup.
