Cards blank Bobcats 2-0

Crandon’s Trent Palubicki tossed a four-hit shutout as Crandon defeated Florence 2-0 in Northern Lakes Conference baseball Tuesday.

The visiting Bobcats (3-2, 1-1) were limited to four singles and a walk while striking out six times.

Florence’s Mason Koski held Crandon (5-1, 2-0) scoreless through five innings before giving up a pair of runs in the sixth. He allowed seven hits, walked three and fanned eight.

Evan Plummer and Reece Mayer had two hits apiece for the Cardinals and Deegan Kircher doubled.

Florence’s hits came from Bradly Steber, Kade Larson, Carson Chrisman and Kolton Campbell.

The Bobcats travel to Elcho today. They’ll face Hilbert on Saturday at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute, home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
