DNR advisory panel to meet Wednesday in Escanaba

ESCANABA –The Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council will meet Wednesday in Escanaba on the campus of Bay College.

Discussions are scheduled on the status of oak wilt in the U.P., a bear season update and a forecast for the upcoming firearm deer hunting season.

The meeting will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Eastern time in Room 952 of the JH University Center.

The public can participate in the session by offering comments to the discussion during two specified periods during the meeting For instructions, go to Michigan.gov/UPCAC.
