Beginner pickleball classes offered in Florence

FLORENCE, Wis. — Pickleball is a great way to be physically active, using skills similar to those of tennis, badminton and table tennis. Introduction to pickleball classes will be offered in Florence County at the courts near the Florence County High School track from 9 to 10 a.m. on Mondays, July 6, 13, 20 and 27, weather permitting. These classes are for individuals age 15 and older. Open court pickleball will also be held after class, beginning at 10 a.m., for anyone interested. ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP — Two children and more than a dozen animals were removed from an Ishpeming Township home Tuesday night after a domestic violence investigation led authorities to discover what they described as unsafe and unsanitary living conditions.
