Some of you may not remember when we had a representative in Congress who actually cared about Yoopers. Men from either party, once in Washington, never forgot whom they represented. I have been watching the news lately and see the “talking heads” are being sensational again but failing to remind people of simple facts. First, when they are talking about the United States government, that means us. You me, all of us. If you are a citizen, you are part of the United States government. What a thought, huh? I said in the last letter I was taking a break. Continue to save tabs but hold on to them. Please watch more closely as to what you are putting in the containers you are turning in. Many items are not aluminum. Some of the things I have come across are paper clips, pins, bottle caps, hearing aid batteries, etc. Ninety-nine percent of the large tabs you think are aluminum are other metals. Phone option needed for DNR deer registration in Michigan

Wildlife Conservation Order Amendment No. 4 of 2022 will now require you to report your deer harvests in Michigan. I’ve been reaching out to the Department of Natural Resources because they are forcing you to report your harvest online or with an app. Other states that I have hunted in, including Iowa and Wisconsin, provide a phone number so you are able to call in your harvest, but the Michigan DNR says that is not an option.
