Stimulus checks no thanks to Rep. Bergman

Did you get it yet? The stimulus check. Guess who voted against it — U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman and every Republican in Congress. If you are flying your Trump flag, did you have the moral integrity to return the stimulus check to the federal government? If you parrot the “big lie” that Joe Biden did not win the presidential election, then you have no right to cash the stimulus check that Bergman and his cronies would have denied you. Nearly 60 million people say they would join a union today if they could. The problem? Union-busters, Big Business and woefully outdated laws continue to undermine the right to collectively bargain. The closest reply to a reasonable response I have heard regarding the campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” has been the yearning for American manufacturing returning to the heights it reached post-World War II. We controlled 50% of the world’s gross domestic product and 90% of the world’s auto production. A few years ago when I was bartending at the summer weekend concert Hog Wild I learned a valuable lesson of the power of words. A gentleman, whose name will remain anonymous and unfortunately passed away from an auto accident, came up to the bar and ordered a beer. I turned to get his request at one of the tappers and out of the corner of my eye I noticed he took his beer tickets and put them in the huge jar the bartenders used as a till. Something needs to change

This is not a letter to point fingers or to figure out who’s right and who’s wrong, but can we take an emotional step backwards and ask the question: What are we doing to ourselves? Riots in Kenosha, riots in Oregon ... etc., etc., etc. Attack on the Capitol. Have we brought this on ourselves? Is this the end result of the survival of the fittest or might makes right?
