IRON MOUNTAIN — The Michigan State University Extension Dickinson County 4-H has set workshops at the Braumart Theater to open the world of theater to local youth.

Activities focus on communication, improvisation, pantomime, scriptwriting, cultural and historical influences and costume design. Life skills and workforce development concepts are also woven throughout the curriculum as youth master more sophisticated theater techniques and ideas.

The workshop are —

— Ages 9 to 11: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 14 to March 21.

— Ages 12 to 15: 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 15 to March 22.

— Ages 16 to 18: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 14 to March 21,

Participation in Dickinson County 4-H clubs is free.
