IRON MOUNTAIN — Every December during the Greater Iron Mountain Area Multi Listing Service’s annual meeting they discuss a charitable cause to make a donation. It was difficult to decide with so many deserving organizations out there, and of course, every realtor has a favorite.

After much discussion it was unanimously agreed upon that they were going to commit to giving back not just once a year, but every month.

To kick off this commitment they are donating to the Angera Family Scholarship at Bay College West in memory of Realtor Mary Jo Angera, who passed away in 2005.

By doing this, the group of realtors feel that they are honoring Angera and also investing into the communities future by helping out with someone’s education.

For those who want to apply for Angera Family Scholarship or any other available scholarship can contact Bay College West in Iron Mountain.

The Greater Iron Mountain Area MLS currently consists of 86 licensed realtors who have offices in Dickinson, Iron and Marinette Counties. An MLS allows brokers to see one another’s listings of properties for sale with the goal of connecting homebuyers and sellers.

Under the MLS arrangement, both the listing and selling brokers benefit by consolidating and sharing information and by sharing commission.

Starting at $4.00/week.
