Niagara K of C duck races on July 23

NIAGARA, Wis. — The eighth annual Niagara Knights of Columbus Jeff Champeau Memorial Duck Race will be Saturday, July 23, at the Niagara Heights Park.

The grounds will open at 3 p.m. A beanbag tournament will start at 4 p.m. Other activities include a washer game for kids, 50-50 raffles, and several random drawings.

The race is slated to start at 6 p.m.

Food and beverages will be available; no carry-ins are allowed.

Live music will be provided by Third Degree from Green Bay, Wis. Grounds will close at 11 p.m.

Ducks cost $5 each, six for $25, 12 for $50, 18 for $75 or 25 for $100, plus entry into a special $500 cash prize drawing.

Ducks may be purchased at the race or earlier from Mike Darne at 715-988-0476 or Bob Burton at 715-251-4714.

Ducks may also be purchased from any Niagara Knight of Columbus member or at various local establishments in Niagara and the surrounding area.
