IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County District Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of July.

New criminal cases for the month included 11 felonies, 18 misdemeanors, and 14 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

New civil cases for the month included 13 general civil cases, six small claims cases, six landlord/tenant disputes and one summary proceeding.

New traffic cases included 129 civil infractions, 24 misdemeanors and five non-traffic civil infractions.

Criminal dispositions for the month included two guilty pleas to felonies reduced to misdemeanors, two felony preliminary exams were waived over to circuit court, 14 misdemeanors and 14 OWI/OUID misdemeanors.

Civil dispositions included 10 general civil, and one small claim.

Traffic dispositions included 98 civil infractions and 11 misdemeanors. There was one non-traffic civil infraction.

The district court handled six drug-sobriety court referrals. Six defendants were referred to drug-sobriety/court, three were referred to alcohol highway safety school, three were referred to the shoplifters counseling program, four were referred to the sheriff’s work van and one was referred to alcohol counseling.

There were two show cause hearings and one marriage ceremony.

Funds turned over to the county treasurer totaled $58,858.55. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $5,242.50.
