The Dickinson Area Community Foundation, along with the Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation, recently awarded a total of $9,207 to the Crystal Theatre, to be used to upgrade the sound system at the theater. The theater was awarded two grants, one for $2,315 from the Crystal Falls Community Endowment Fund and one for $6,892 from the DACF Fine Arts Endowment Fund. Wilma Kallies, Crystal Theatre board president, accepted the two grants from Al Anderson, Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation board member. The mission of the Community Foundation is to improve residents’ quality of life.
