IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain’s Gus Macker basketball tournament is hosting a launch party from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Solbergs Greenleaf, 1340 Carpenter Ave., Iron Mountain.

The public is welcome to stop by for food, Gus Macker prizes, silent auction baskets, shirts, yard signs, window signs and more. Information about registration, volunteering, officiating and sponsorships will be available.

The tournament will take place July 16 and 17. Teams of four players can register online for $160 per team at macker.com. Players of all ages can participate.

The Gus Macker event team encourages all players, spectators and volunteers to stay connected during the next few months by announcements in The Daily News as well as the Macker website. More local Gus Macker basketball information is available at gusmackerim.org.

Proceeds from the 2022 tournament will benefit the Imagination Factory Children’s Museum in Iron Mountain.
