MSP confirm investigation on reported assault
IRON MOUNTAIN — Michigan State Police are continuing an investigation that began April 1 into a reported assault in Norway Township, the agency said in a news release Thursday.
MSP is “not releasing sensitive information currently for the integrity of the case,” police said. Troopers said they are aware that public interest in the case has grown and plan to release additional information as soon as possible. The public interest relates, in part, to a GoFundMe page that has circulated on social media.
Those with direct factual information are encouraged to contact the Iron Mountain Post at 906-774-2122, said Lt. Jeremy Hauswirth, commander at the post.
