U-M Board to meet in UP
ANN ARBOR – The University of Michigan Board of Regents will have its first-ever formal meeting in the Upper Peninsula on Thursday as part of a several-day trip by regents and other U-M leaders to northern Michigan.
Meeting highlights in St. Ignace include presentations about admissions, the economic impact of U-M in northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, the health system, the Biological Station and research on butterflies and fish.
The regents will also host a community reception at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time Thursday at the Museum of Ojibwa Culture in St. Ignace.
