Felch Labor Day baseball set for year No. 2 of its return
FELCH — Labor Day weekend hardball is back in Felch again this year. The 2020 Felch Labor Day Championship will be held the weekend of Sept. 4-7 at Felch Memorial Field.
Tournament director John Benzie of Kingsford reports that there will be seven teams in this year’s tournament, which will be a double-elimination format with 12 to 13 games being played over the holiday weekend.
There will one first round game held on Friday night at 5 p.m. The remaining three days, games will begin at 10 a.m., with the last game on Saturday and Sunday scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
On championship Monday, the schedule will be 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and the championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m. The “if necessary” game would take place right after the 2 p.m. game is completed, if a tie- breaker game is needed to determine the champion.
There will be further information on the tournament published in the coming days, leading up to the holiday weekend.
