FELCH TOWNSHIP — In a non-conference eight-player football game Thursday night, Newberry defeated North Dickinson 37-0 at James D. Priestap Memorial Field in Felch.

“Defensively we played better than we have, we hit and pursued the ball carriers,” said Nordics head coach Mike Christian. “Offensively we moved the ball early in the game. Once we got behind, we used the spread offense, and we couldn’t make any connections.”

North Dickinson’s Brennan Donaldson returned to the field for the Nordics and played quarterback in his return from injury.

Colin LaFave had 11 tackles, while Maximus Mattson recorded 16 tackles to lead the Nordics on the night.

North Dickinson totaled 112 total yards, with 82 yards rushing. Donaldson was 4 for 12 for 30 yards passing. The Nordics, who fall to 0-3, host rival Forest Park Oct. 9
