HOLLAND — Each year, the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association releases awards voted on by MHSFCA for prep football.

The 2021 season saw three athletes from Kingsford and two from Forest Park earn all-state honors in their respective divisions, while three athletes from Iron Mountain received all-region recognition.

Named all-state in Division 5 were Kingsford’s Lucas Tappy, offensive line; Zach Person, wide receiver; and Diego Przeslakowski, specialist. Named all-state in 8-player Division 2 were Forest Park’s Timmy Bendick, offensive line; and Sam McKissack, running back.

All-region selections in Division 8 included Iron Mountain’s Lucas Maxon, offensive line; Michael Talerico, defensive line; and Hunter Fortner, linebacker. In Division 5, Kingsford’s Brody Kopp was an all-region pick at defensive back.
