Hord receives Skyline award
Cary named to elite team; Norway gets sportsmanship honor

HARRIS — North Dickinson senior Ashton Hord was named Defensive Specialist of the Year as the Skyline Central Conference girls volleyball all-conference team was selected earlier this week at Bark River-Harris School.
Hord was joined on the SCC elite team by fellow senior Kassandra Cary.
First team selection for the Nordics, senior Chrislyn Inglese, was joined on the first team by Forest Park senior Rayven Jacobson.
Among second team selections were Forest Park senior Gracie Peterson, as well as North Dickinson junior Micah Lindholm. Area honorable mentions were Ashlynn Kannich, junior, Forest Park; seniors Ashley Neuens and Katelyn Deming of North Central; and Nordics senior Vanessa Lindholm.
Norway and head coach Erika Harnden were awarded team sportsmanship accolades. Lady Trojans head coach Bobbie Jo Anderson was named SCC Coach of the Year.
Big School Division champions in both the varsity and jayvee ranks were the undefeated (8-0) Bark River-Harris Broncos. BR-H junior Carley Varoni was named the SCC Player of the Year.
Small School Division varsity and jayvee champions were Superior Central. The Lady Cougars varsity team posted a 7-2 record, while the JVs posted a record of 4-4.
