Norway announces 2021-22 athletic awards

NORWAY — Norway High School held its Athletic Awards Ceremony on June 1 with the recipients of the 2021-22 athletic and scholarship awards announced.
The following were honored:
Boys track — MVP: Wyatt Richter; Coaches Choice: Gabe Hautamaki; Mr. Hustle: Bryce Neuens
Girls track — MVP: Taylor Adams; Coaches Choice: Lyneha Hauswirth
Cross country — Boys MVP: Brent Lagina; Girls MVP Girls: Taylor Adams
Boys basketball — MVP: Nolan Amundson
Girls basketball — MVP: Andi Carlson; Defensive Player of the Year: Hannah Burklund; Coaches Choice: Averie Popp
Girls tennis — MVP: Kali Stanchina; ACE: Mackenzie Gilroy; Most Improved: Emma Dube; Doubles Team of the Year: Averie Popp and Gabrielle Leiker; Rookie of the Year: Jayda Hunter
