I am a 100% disabled Vietnam War veteran. I get excellent health care from the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain. Need to accept election results

For a democracy to function there must be two requirements. First, political parties must be willing to compromise. Second, people must be willing to accept results that are not always in favor with their own desired results. EDITOR: Who pays the men who plow the snow on our streets? Who buys the plow and the fuel to power it? Who pays for heat and lights at City Hall? Who pays city and county clerks and managers? Light at the Inn shutting down

It is with regret that Light at the Inn of Dickinson County has decided to suspend its mission outreach. This has been a most difficult decision and will be effective as of June 1. In the spring of 2016, representatives from a number of churches within Dickinson County recognized the need for some type of temporary shelter for the homeless community in our area. Within months this group established an administrative board, obtained their 501(c )(3) documentation, secured financial and community support and planned for a winter rotating shelter to open in the fall.
