FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence County 4-H Big Shooters attended the first shoot of the year for Wisconsin, taking numerous awards at Marshfield. Seventy-three of Wisconsin’s top shooters attended. Seven local shooters from Dickinson and Florence counties participated in various age categories and disciplines. The team’s youngest shooter was Jonas Eloranta of Florence County. He competed in the Junior category, ages 9-11. Eloranta earned 10th in compound bow limited. He also earned a third-place finish in air rifle sporter. CASPIAN — The Caspian Gaastra Fire Department will host a fundraising Texas Hold’Em tournament starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20. Registration will open at 5 p.m. at the fire hall in Caspian.
