IRON MOUNTAIN — Sarah Davy, the Bay College West academic support coordinator, has been selected as Bay College’s quarterly TORCH Award winner for March through May.

Davy is responsible for overseeing the Student Success Center at the West campus in Iron Mountain, which organizes all tutoring and supplemental instruction activities. She also is an advisor for both West campus students and West campus TRIO students.

Davy was nominated by one of her students for going above and beyond to support student success.

“She is always reaching out and coordinating with instructors to make sure the students have what they need to succeed. Every time I have needed something she has dropped everything to help me find what it is I need,” the student said in the nomination.

Davy’s commitment and dedication shows she lives the mission of student success every moment of every day.

The TORCH Award aims to recognize employees on Bay College’s campuses for demonstrating their dedication to the college’s mission through their attitude, commitment and dedication toward the higher education learning environment.
