King honored by the Beta Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma
PAMELA KING
IRON MOUNTAIN — Beta Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, International honored member Pamela King as their chapter Woman of Distinction for 2021 at the May 15 outdoor meeting.
In addition to a recognition certificate, pin and gift certificate, King was presented with a keepsake binder containing written tributes from her family, friends and colleagues.
King, who retired in 2010, taught first, third and fifth grades and Title I Reading in the Iron Mountain School District for 38 years.
King, a Kingsford native, a mother to Anthony and Elizabeth, and grandmother of two, lives in Iron Mountain with her husband, Sandy.
She also is an active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Eastern Star, a prayer shawl group and past president of General Federation of Women’s Clubs.
DKG is an honorary international organization of women educators that promotes professional and personal growth. Beta Sigma Chapter includes members from Michigan’s Dickinson, Delta and Menominee counties and Wisconsin’s Marinette, Oconto and Florence counties.
