Florence County Historical Society to meet Tuesday

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Historical Society will have its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the museum, 201 Florence Ave. in Florence. The main agenda will be final plans for opening the museum June 13, which will honor area veterans. Members also are planning for upcoming Strawberry Social and Quilt Show, along with other summer activities. The board welcomes those who wish to share ideas on promoting the county’s history.

DCCC children’s chorus to start rehearsing Tuesday

KINGSFORD — Dickinson County Community Chorus rehearsals are in full swing. The adult chorus began rehearsing a few weeks ago and is now looking for children to fill out the program.
