Myrna Ward

QUINNESEC — Myrna Jean Ward, 93, of Quinnesec, entered the church triumphant on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain. In comfort and in peace, she passed away from natural causes, embraced by the love of family and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A celebration of life will follow at noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Dave Johnson presiding. The family will host a luncheon after the service.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Ruben Dario Valencia-Ospina, 71, of Iron Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 25, 2026, in the comfort of his own home. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, June 1, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., followed by the funeral service at 5 p.m. The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.

FREDERICK, Md. — Sandra “Sandy” Kay (Martignon) Johnson, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on Dec. 3, 2025, at the age of 73 in Frederick, Md. Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Norway Township Cemetery, with Father John Martignon officiating. Arrangements were announced by the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark McQuesten to officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery. The West Side Veterans will accord military rites at the graveside.
