Badgers claim senior night win

NIAGARA, Wis. — The Lady Badgers had three players record double figures in scoring, as they defeated Marinette-Oconto Conference foe Suring 62-33, during senior night Friday night in Niagara’s final game of the regular season.

Jessica Oratch led all scorers with 17 points for the Badgers, while fellow senior Jasmine Racine added 12 points. Junior Alyssa Cretton added 11 points.

The Lady Badgers moved to 14-8 and saw a milestone for head coach Karl Lamoreaux on the night. It was his 100th win as head varsity coach.

Kylee Stelzer led Suring with 16 points in the losing effort.

Niagara begins WIAA tournament play on Tuesday night, as the No. 3 seed in their Division 5 sectional. They host No. 14 seed White Lake, with a 7 p.m. tip off scheduled.

Suring won the JV contest.
