Mountaineers advance to boys basketball final with overtime win
EAST LANSING — Iron Mountain will play Saturday for the MHSAA Division 3 boys basketball championship after defeating Schoolcraft 54-50 in overtime Thursday at the Breslin Center.
Foster Wonders led the Mountaineers with 34 points. A free throw by Ricky Brown gave Iron Mountain a four-point cushion with 12 seconds remaining.
The Mountaineers will play Flint Beecher (15-1) at 3 p.m. Eastern time Saturday in East Lansing. The Bucs advanced to the final with a 47-34 win over Hanover-Horton.
