ESCANABA — Kingsford’s Matt Solda lost in a one-hole playoff for medalist after shooting a 75 as Kingsford’s golf teams competed in a Great Northern Conference match Thursday at Escanaba Country Club. Menominee’s Andrew MacIntyre defeated teammate Brady Badker and Solda in the one-hole playoff.

Escanaba took the team title with a 327, while Cam Ballard of Gladstone shot a 76.

The Flivver boys finished fourth with a 347 overall. Jack Perpich carded an 85, Troy Watt shot an 88, while Lance Harry came in with a 99.

Josie Hofer of Menominee was medalist on the girls side with an 88, while Morgan Rhodes of Marquette was runner-up with a 93. The Redettes won the team title with a 425.

The Kingsford girls shot a 515, with Grace Maki carding a team-low 109. Maggie Menghini was next with a 117, followed by Amanda Yu with a 131 and Christina Glodowski with a 158.

The Flivvers host a Great Northern Conference meet at Pine Grove Country Club on Monday.
