Hamari to work All-Star game
ADAM HAMARI
NEW YORK — Marquette native Adam Hamari will be one of a half-dozen umpires working on the field at Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game at Coors Field in Denver on Tuesday evening.
Hamari will be working in right field, in one of the extra positions where umpires are stationed at during playoff and All-Star games. This will be his first All-Star Game appearance.
Hamari, who has worked in the majors for more than a decade and became a full-time MLB umpire in 2017, worked as a replay umpire during the divisional series round of last fall’s playoffs.
Tom Hallion, a 28-year major league veteran, will be the plate umpire and crew chief.
