HOUGHTON — Returning again to celebrate summer in the Keweenaw Peninsula, join Isle Royale National Park and the Portage Lake District Library on Thursday, Aug. 18, for Ranger III Family Day.

Families may reserve space aboard one of two free, hour-long scheduled waterway cruises. As space is limited, even though there is no cost for the cruise, reservations are required.

Ranger III will travel into Portage Lake and back during the trip.

To make the required reservations, go online to the PLDL Ranger III Family Day Request Form. Reservations will only be accepted through Aug. 16.

Cruises will take place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern time as families cruise the historic Keweenaw Waterway.

Rangers will provide activities during the cruise. Light jackets are recommended.
