FLORENCE, Wis. — Ever wondered about some of the historic buildings in the town of Florence? Who lived there? What business originated there? To learn a little history, plan to come along for a leisurely stroll around the town Thursday. Carmelite Fall Festival Sept. 21-22 at monastery

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Carmelite Fall Festival is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22, at Carmel of the Holy Cross Monastery in Iron Mountain. The event will feature baked goods, arts, crafts, basket raffle and plate lunch including the Sisters’ famous bread that will be available for purchase. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 for six.
