I have become so dismayed by all the negative news about the coronavirus that I thought it was high time to give us a little positive reinforcement. Maybe I’m one of the few who sees this pandemic as a warning from God to “get back to basics” — live the Golden Rule and love him. Dear Baby Boomers, Millennials and Gen X — These are unprecedented times we are living in. Being a Baby Boomer, I remember stories from parents and grandparents about the Great Depression and World War II. I learned of the sacrifices they made and listened in awe as they described their daily lives during a terrible and frightening time. They survived, and we will, too. Remembering times of polio

EDITOR: It’s crazy how much we forget in our lifetime and even crazier how many of the crazy things we remember. Amid the hype and protection measures that are given about coronavirus, nobody seems to remember the polio epidemic. This was brought into my memory after talking with my cousin, who got it when she was 4, I would have been 6 at the time.
