Lady Badgers fall to undefeated Oneida
HOBART, Wis — Despite Jessica Oratch recording a double-double of a game-high 27 points and 14 rebounds, Oneida Nation defeated Niagara 63-48 in Marinette-Oconto Conference action Friday night.
M’Kenzey Ackley led the Thunderhawks with 23 points, with Sade Schuman adding 15 points.
Alyssa Cretton chipped in 12 points for the Lady Badgers as they fall to 10-8 (7-6 M&O). Niagara travels to area rival Florence Tuesday night for non-conference action.
The Thunderhawks shot 19-22 from the free throw line and the Badgers shot 9-19. Oneida Nation, who improves to 19-0 (13-0), is likely to be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Division 5 sectional, notes Niagara head coach Karl Lamoreaux.
The Thunderhawks defeated Stephenson Thursday night 78-37 at Stephenson.
Oneida Nation defeated Niagara in the JV contest Friday night.
