MARSP offers mini-grants to public school teachers

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel — MARSP — is offering mini-grants for teachers in public schools in Dickinson County for the 2026-2027 school year. Three mini-grants of $250 are available. MARSP hopes that the opportunity to apply for an additional funds or classrooms will help staff to purchase equipment and materials. Poor Artists Sale taking applications for booths

HANCOCK — Artist booth applications are now being taken for the 50th-annual Poor Artists Sale, an annual juried holiday art fair hosted by the Copper Country Community Arts Council as a benefit for the Community Arts Center in Hancock. The event will be Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw schools gymnasium in Calumet.
